The Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) is the annual meeting of all church supporters to review the past year, including the accounts, and to reflect on this and the way forward. It includes lots of essential admin, especially electing members of the Parochial Church Council, who are the trustees of the church as a charity. It begins with a (legally) separate Annual Parish Meeting (APM) for the election of churchwardens.
In 2024 these meetings were held on Wednesday 8th May at 8pm, in St Mary’s Kidlington, starting with the APM. Everyone who is on the church Electoral Roll or is entered on a register of local government electors by reason of residence in the parish is entitled to vote for the churchwardens. Only people on the Electoral Roll can vote in the main APCM. So this is the time of year when we update our Electoral Roll. The revised Roll is now on display in our churches.
There were two sets of papers for the meeting, which can be downloaded here:
- the formal Annual Report and Accounts for 2023
- Papers for the Meeting, including agenda and reports on parish life giving more background to all our activities
