Community Engagement

Craft mornings

As well as the regular activities and groups mentioned here we also hold very popular craft mornings in the school holidays: one at Easter, one in October and four during August.  Although primarily aimed at entertaining local children, we encourage parents and carers to have a go too. Everyone goes home with an assortment of items they’ve made themselves – perhaps a hat or mask, window decoration, harvest mouse, fridge magnet, or card.

We have good links with the schools in Kidlington. Members of the clergy team go into schools and take assemblies, and school groups visit the churches to enhance and support their curriculum. Christmas carol services are held in our buildings and we organise or support BeSpace prayer spaces in two of the local primary schools. We regularly pray for the children, teachers and families in our local community.
