All of our clergy are available to respond to the need for pastoral care, especially in the context of conducting occasional offices.
We have a dedicated Pastoral Visiting Team in the Parish who are happy to support members of the congregations and the wider community. Members of the team make regular visits and telephone calls to individuals experiencing loss, illness or isolation. Occasionally some practical help such as shopping is offered, but their main role is to provide companionship and a listening ear. The team have received appropriate training, including Safeguarding, but are not trained counsellors. Their motto is ASK – Acting in Simple Kindness
We are also able to offer the service of a trained listener, and have close relationships with the low cost counselling scheme ‘Cherwell Counsellors’ to whom we can make referrals.
Please contact one of the clergy or the Parish Office if you would like to arrange a visit or phone call, either for yourself or a member of your family.
