Are you a parent or carer of a child who struggles with mental health issues and/or is neuro-diverse?
If so, you might be interested in joining one of our peer support groups or attending an open-access workshop on a topic of interest to you.
Regular Support Groups
- Mondays – 6.30pm to 8pm – for parents or carers of dependent adults (18+)
- Tuesdays – 6pm to 7.30pm – for parents of secondary school age children who have additional needs and/or mental health concerns.
We are also now seeking to start a third group for parents of primary school aged children to start in the New Year.
These are parent-focussed groups, facilitated by a professionally accredited therapist, providing a safe and supportive space to share and talk through challenges. Both groups meet in St Mary’s Church Hall, Church Street, Kidlington, OX5 2AZ. They are free of charge. You can find out more at our Facebook page
If you think this might be something of interest to you please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us and have a chat. We’d love to hear from you.

Workshops
Additionally we have started a series of open access workshops on themes of general interest. These are a new venture and do not involve any commitment to joining an ongoing group. The first of these is on Monday 13th October and is led by the CAMHS team on anxiety and school refusal. This is fully booked. The second, on Friday 14th November, is for parents seeking an EHC plan for their child and struggling to fill in the complex application form. In January our topic is Self-Care. Other topics such as Sleep Hygiene for all the family will follow.

Please do pass on this information to anyone you know who would be interested in attending a workshop or joining one of the groups.
