Giving

It costs about £700 a day to fund all our church activities and to maintain our three church buildings, which provide so many facilities for the community.  We are entirely self-funded and receive no direct support from the State or the Church of England. If you wish to show your support for our work and our buildings you can donate to the parish in a range of ways, see below.  Please feel free to contact our Giving Secretary for any advice or help setting up a donation.

As a registered charity (Charity Number 1135350) we can claim Gift Aid on donations made by UK taxpayers who pay sufficient tax (income or capital gains).  This enables us to receive an extra £2.50 for every £10 donated (at current tax rates).  If you can help in this way, please complete a Gift Aid Declaration Form and return it to our Giving Secretary: for single donation / for regular donation (not necessary for regular giving via the Parish Giving Scheme or JustGiving).

You can also raise funds for us by joining our “easyfundraising” scheme. Over 4,000 shops and sites will donate to us when you use easyfundraising when doing online shopping with them – at no extra cost to yourself.

Thank You

You can make a payment directly to our bank using the details below. Please include your name as a reference and let our Giving Secretary know (especially if we can claim Gift Aid).

CAF Bank, Sort Code: 40-52-40, Account Name: Kidlington with Hampton Poyle PCC, Account Number: 00030167

Note, it is possible that your bank will query that the Account Name and Account Number don’t match, but it is safe to proceed if you have the numbers correct!

There are two simple options for making a one-off donation online (or setting it up as a regular payment): via JustGiving or via the Parish Giving Scheme. With both of these you can request for the donation to be Gift-Aided, which adds considerably to the value of your gift to the parish at no extra cost to you.

To use JustGiving use the QR code or click on the button below.

Alternatively, you can visit our Parish Giving Scheme page by clicking here or by using using this QR code. To make a one-off donation paying by credit or debit card or by Google/Apple Pay then just click on “One-off gift” and follow the system. You do NOT have to be previously registered with PGS.

Cheques should be payable to “Kidlington with Hampton Poyle PCC”” and be sent to the Parish Office, St John’s Church, Broadway, Kidlington, OX5 1DD

You can set up a regular Standing Order either

directly via your usual online banking method using the following details: CAF Bank, Sort Code: 40-52-40, Account Name: Kidlington with Hampton Poyle PCC, Account Number: 00095469

or by downloading and completing our Standing Order Form which you can then send to your bank or to our Giving Secretary for passing on.

The Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) is a way of making planned donations to the parish by direct debit. It is safe, flexible, reduces administration and improves cashflow. Gift Aid is automatically processed by PGS every month, if appropriate.  Additionally, givers can choose to automatically increase their giving by the rate of inflation every year. Givers can also choose to give anonymously if they wish.

There are three ways in which you can set up a Direct Debit with the Parish Giving Scheme to donate regularly to us (monthly, quarterly or annually):

  • via paper direct debit form – available by emailing our Giving Secretary
  • via the PGS telephone service – please call 0333 002 1271; lines are open Monday to Friday, 9 – 5pm. You will need to have your bank account details to hand and to give our PGS Parish code, which is 270627211. You will also be asked if you want to increase the gift in line with inflation each year and if you are eligible for Gift Aid.
  • by registering online via our PGS parish page.  As with phone registration, you will need your bank account details and will be asked about inflation increases, Gift Aid etc.  You can find the parish page by clicking here or by using the QR code below.

If you have any questions or concerns do just contact our Giving Secretary.

With easyfundraising  we earn funding every time anyone who is registered as a supporter of ours does online shopping at any of the suppliers in the scheme – without it costing the shopper any more.  There are over 4600 suppliers including Argos, Boots, Currys PC World, John Lewis, Etsy, Amazon, M & S . . . . .

It might seem that individual amounts raised are quite small – but they do mount up.  In the last three months our supporters raised £250, so we’d really appreciate it if you could sign up and support us. It’s completely FREE and only takes a moment. You can find out more by going to our easyfundraising page here
