We are thrilled to welcome David Briggs to St Mary’s Kidlington to give a special solo recital celebrating the 50th anniversary of the dedication of St Mary’s organ.
David Briggs (Artist-in-Residence at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine, New York City) is an internationally renowned organist whose performances are acclaimed for their musicality, virtuosity, and ability to excite and engage audiences of all ages. Consistently ranked as one of the finest organists of his generation, David’s extensive repertoire spans five centuries. He is one of the foremost organ transcribers of symphonic works, and has been described as “an intrepid improviser”. This spectacular recital will show off the power, subtlety and versatility of our unique organ – this is an event not to be missed!
