How lovely to do the annual Walk of Blessing in Hampton Poyle on Sunday 29th August. After the journey of the last 18 months this feels like an important step on the journey to recovery. We stopped to bless our homes and to welcome new families to the village. We blessed our gardens and the fields and footpaths which have been places of refuge and healing. We prayed for each other and blessed the pond, the farms, the pub, the churchyard and of course ended with lots of cake. At each stopping point we left behind a biodegradable cross as a sign of blessing.
The dogs were all perfectly behaved and the horse recovered from his annoyance when allowed to munch on the willow tree!
